Built were engaged to provide construction management services for the primary health care facility in Preston. The project included demolition of the existing building across a 6,500 square metre allotment and erection of a new structure on sub-divided land, including steel portal type frame with precast concrete panel and integrated zincalume sheet cladding.
The centre will comprise of separate departments servicing each medical division. Externally, the centre will be surrounded by gardens and landscaped areas. The medical centre, due to open in May 2009, covers 1,500 square metres, and will include facilities for general practioners, specialists, physiotherapists, dental practioners, radiology, and an emergency department.
