Louis Vuitton (NSW)
Contract value: $10.0m
Completion date: October 2011
Built has recently completed the fitout of luxury retailer Louis Vuitton's newest store on the corner of King and George Streets, Sydney.
The building, originally designed as a bank in 1858 by colonial architect, Edmund Blacket, retains important heritage aspects both internally and externally which have been preserved and showcased in the new renovation.
To construct the internal spaces of 2000sqm over 3 levels, Built liaised extensively with Louis Vuitton's Paris based design team. Key internal features include a ceiling-hung curved staircase, luxurious finishes including high gloss veneer joinery, polished plaster panels and stone floors.
The building is topped by a new four- level glass structure that houses the executive offices of Louis Vuitton and which recently won a Master Builders Award for Best Use of Glass.
