The project comprised the refurbishment of an existing below ground storage facility at the Art Gallery of New South Wales to create a stunning new exhibition space dedicated to the contemporary art collection gifted by the John Kaldor Family. Whilst the gallery continued to operate, over 10,000 patrons were accommodated each day, as the complex excavation and penetration works were underway.
