Southern Cross Station is a major transport hub located on Spencer Street in Melbourne, providing rail and bus services as well as housing a selection of retail traders.

Built has recently been engaged by Civic Nexus Pty Ltd to undertake the redevelopment of the retail area. Within the site there are several distinct geographical zones that will be redeveloped during the course of the project. Each zone, except for the bus interchange, requires an extensive redevelopment of the existing retail and will provide diverse and unique challenges. Within each zone there are typically four types of retail tenancies to be delivered as part of the base build requirements. There will also be works where services trades will need to work within the ‘rail corridor'.

In addition to the base build requirements, Built will also be responsible for the coordination and management of third party fitout contractors and their subcontractors.
