The Queen Victoria Building (QVB) has undergone a remarkable refurbishment that resulted in one of Sydney's oldest buildings returned to its former glory.
Designed to enhance the heritage and architectural values of the building, the refurbishment ensured the QVB continues to set the standard as a world-class shopping destination and keeps pace with commercial realities of the 21st century.
Reflecting the building's original design, the refurbishment included a Victorian-inspired heritage colour scheme and frameless glass shopfronts that highlight the magnificent QVB columns and other architectural features.
In addition there was an upgrade to lighting fixtures and building services including car park elevators, escalators and landings.
