Urbane (QLD)
Contract value: $4.0m
Client: Urbane Restaurant
Architect: Arkhefield
Completion date: November 2009
The redevelopment of Urbane started as a refurbishment of the existing restaurant and the addition of a brasserie within the adjacent premises. The project grew to become a full revitalisation of the 1900s building in which the restaurants were housed.
The project incorporated the renewal of Urbane as a five star dining venue; new cellar dining to Urbane called Sub-Urbane; new brasserie called the Euro; new Laneway bar perched on the rooftop with visibility and access from the rear lane; and refurbished first floor office space with tenants in occupation throughout.
