Built was engaged by Mirvac and TSA Management to deliver the refurbishment of the landmark, retail and commercial tower at 55 Market St in Sydney’s CBD.

The A-grade building, which sits in the heart of Sydney’s busiest shopping strip – on the corner of Pitt and Market streets – includes 20 floors of refurbished commercial office space and a new ground floor podium with cold shell retail space.

The project began in early-2020 and the team had to quickly adapt to and navigate the unexpected circumstances surrounding the COVID19 pandemic, implementing social distancing rules, extra cleaning and hygiene practices and a rapidly changing environment throughout the duration of the project.

The end result is a spectacular and modern high-end podium with a new Gosford sandstone and glass façade to match that of other landmark buildings in the Sydney CBD, as well as a new commercial lobby entrance, warm shell commercial office fitout on all levels and a cold-shell retail fitout on the ground floor.
