Social Impact

We challenge ourselves to constantly act as a force for good

Framework

Partnering with communities to realise lasting local impact

As our cities continue to grow, we are committed to partnering with government, community organisations, and businesses to deliver precincts that rejuvenate our regions and provide meaningful impact for local communities.

Through ongoing investment in our regions, we’re further growing our relationships with local suppliers, subcontractors, and community organisations to unlock skills and training opportunities, build capacity, and deliver purposeful social impact.

At Built, we recognise that we are in a position to create opportunities that are otherwise unavailable. We are proud to make real impact and a tangible difference to peoples’ lives and communities, setting the standard and holding ourselves accountable through our Social Impact Framework.

  • Our vision for reconciliation is a more unified Australia

We will strengthen and help grow Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses through procurement partnerships, business support, and developing new connections across our diverse supply chain.

We seek to leave a positive connection and impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through our projects and beyond, to build, nurture, and protect a more unified community that benefits all Australians.

  • Creating meaningful employment opportunities for everyone

Creating a more diverse workforce ensures we can better reflect the communities and cities in which we build.

We understand the importance of leveraging our supply chain to support the growth of local economies and engage subcontractors who share our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Across Australia, we’re proud to partner with social benefit providers to identify opportunities that support the employment of local workers, people with disabilities, and those traditionally underrepresented in the workforce.

Our approach to social procurement and adherence to the Modern Slavery Act (2018) is guided by a formal Sustainable Procurement Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct.

  • Supporting our communities

From long-term partnerships with grassroots organisations to volunteering our skills and time, as well as leveraging our extensive supply chain relationships, we are committed to creating lasting impact in our communities.

Constructing a culture of excellence with our shared values

We stand firmly on the foundation of our shared values, fostering a work environment that supports team growth and industry innovation. Our approach to developing policies and rolling out initiatives is centered on improving the day-to-day experience of our workforce, ensuring a culture where new ideas are welcomed, and every individual has the support to excel. With a focus on inclusivity, we are committed to crafting a workplace that embraces a wide range of skills and perspectives, enhancing our ability to deliver outstanding results on every project.
