Running together in support of our charity partners

23 January 2023

Since launching the inaugural health and wellbeing initiative in 2022, Built has raised over $50,000 for its local charity partners across Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Aligning with its ongoing commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of its people, Built Fit to Give encourages employees across the business to participate in a local fun-run while raising much-needed funds for charity.

Committed to having real impact by targeting issues closest to us and working with grassroots charities, Built Fit to Give is another initiative which encourages employees to give back to their community.

“Having some of our charity partners like Women’s Property Initiatives in Melbourne and Re-Love in Sydney not only run alongside our staff but join the post-event celebrations to talk about the work they do, made it all the more powerful,” said Pippa Harrison, National Social Impact Manager.

From Fremantle to London, Brisbane to Adelaide, close to 200 employees ran and walked a total of 2,350kms across nine events in 2022.

“It was so great to see so many of our Built employees participating across our regions, including our NZ and UK teams, and raising money for an important cause at the same time,” added Pippa.

With a strong culture that supports health and wellbeing, Built Fit to Give encouraged teams that wouldn’t normally interact come together over a mutual goal, pushing their personal boundaries while cheering each other along.

“From the pre-race training runs to team encouragement throughout the events to the camaraderie at the finish line, I’m so pleased with how much everyone embraced this initiative – this is what we’re all about,” said Haydn Masters, Head of Health and Wellbeing.

Built Fit to Give runs annually and is available to all employees.
