Poised to meet the growing needs of Victoria’s western region
Following the successful delivery of landmark projects in Geelong, our team in Victoria is expanding Built’s presence with a dedicated local office and team to service more of the growing western region, encompassing Geelong and its surrounding areas.
Approximately ten Built staff members who all live local to the western region are now working from our new office in the heart of Geelong’s CBD. This provides great flexibility for the team who benefit from a shorter commute into work and can forge connections with local suppliers and stakeholders, while ensuring Built is well poised to service the needs of this growing region.
Built has been behind many iconic projects in the region, including the Geelong Clinic project, CSIRO NSEM project, Waurn Ponds amenities upgrade, Deakin University Costa Hall and Nyaal Precinct developments and Geelong’s tallest and most sustainable commercial building at 1 Malop St, all of which have added significant value to the community.
The Northern and Western Geelong areas account for the largest greenfield planning project opportunities in regional Victoria with a combined future population of approximately 110,000 new Geelong residents[1]. As Geelong is at the forefront of urban development growth in Victoria, there is a strong pipeline of complex construction projects on the horizon, particularly in the health and education sectors, where our strong experience holds us in good stead.
The team is also proud to support local charitable causes and organisations, including recently participating in the Run 4 Geelong event this month to raise funds for the Barwon Health Foundation and entering a corporate partnership with Geelong Mums to support families in need.
