Staged live environment works

Project

Canberra Grammar School

Built was engaged to carry out construction of the Edwards House Annex for Canberra Grammar School.

Value: $3m

Client: Canberra Grammar School

Architect: DJAS

Completion date: January 2018

The project involved the construction of a new two storey building in the school grounds, incorporating a glazed façade to one elevation and feature zinc panelling. It houses seven new classrooms, one house room and one office.

The construction program was developed to avoid any noisy works being carried out during exam periods, due to the adjacent building housing the exam hall. The site set up and coordination of deliveries required careful planning to negate all risk to staff and students moving around the site and to coordinate with the school timetable to ensure no disruption to the school.
