Project

High Court of Australia HVAC Upgrade

Built was engaged to carry out the upgrade of the HVAC system at the High Court of Australia as the Court remained fully operational.

Value: $9.5m

Client: High Court of Australia

Architect: Pelle Architects

Completion date: December 2017

The scope included the systematic upgrade of 24 air handling units throughout the building. These works were planned and staged around the operation of the courts, with work undertaken across multiple workfaces at once to allow as much flexibility as possible, minimising disruption to the court.

Built provided a value add to the project by reverse briefing the project, highlighting in specific detail the scope of work required for each separable portion of work. Built worked closely with the Client and Consultants to identify non-compliant services and also identified plant that could be retained to achieve cost savings.
